The holy prophet (peace be upon Him) says:
خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَ عَلَّمَهُ

Sahih Al Bukhari

مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا لاَ أَقُولُ الم حَرْفٌ وَلَكِنْ أَلِفٌ حَرْفٌ وَلاَمٌ حَرْفٌ وَمِيمٌ حَرْفٌ
“Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.” Reference: Sunan Tirmidhi, Chapters on The Virtues of the Qur’an

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As (May Allah be pleased with them the Messenger of Allah said:
يُقَالُ لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ : اقْرَأْ وَارْتَقِ وَرَتِّلْ كَمَا كُنْتَ تُرَتِّلُ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّ مَنْزِلَكَ عِنْدَ آخِرِ آيَةٍ تَقْرَؤُهَا ” .
“The One who was devoted to the Qur’an will be told (on the Day of Resurrection): ‘Recite and ascend (in ranks paradise) and recite (the Quran) clearly (in a distinct and measured tone) as you were recited when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah (verse) you recite. Reference: Sunan Abi Dawud (Kitab Al-Salat): Detailed Injunctions about Witr

Necessity Of Learn Holy Qur’an Reading
- Allah s.w.t. commanded us to read the Quran. Reciting the Quran helps to fulfill an article of faith. One of the six articles of faith is about belief in the divinely revealed books. However, belief alone isn’t enough. Hence, we must do something also to act upon this belief.
- Many Muslims have the Quran at home but they put it away on a bookshelf or in a cupboard and forget about it. This isn’t right. We must recite the Quran. One of its real purposes is for us to recite it, its each verse is so unique, think about what Allah tells us in it, and act upon it. We must focus on reciting the Quran and that too according to the correct method, i.e., with the rules of pronunciation and Tajweed. So, by reading the Quran, we fulfill this requirement and gain a benefit from it.
An Introduction To The Quran
Among the series of divine revelations from Allah the Quran is the last testament and a gift for all humankind. The Qur’an is the sacred book of Islam which is the perfect copy of a heavenly Qur’an that has existed eternally. This revelation is the last of the Holy Scriptures of Almighty Allah. We Muslim believe that the Qur’an was revealed to the Final Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), more than 1400 years ago, from 610 until his death in 632 AD, on numerous occasions, by the Angel Gabriel.
The Quran is unique, authentic and complete book of Allah, it is the Speech of Allah and not a book written by Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Being aware that the holy Quran is Allah’s speech should be enough motivation for every Muslim to recite the Quran. There is no book like it in the world, because it is the only revealed book that exists today in the precise form and content in which it was originally revealed and Muslims recite and turn to it for guidance in all aspects of their life.
Allah has guaranteed the Quran’s protection from the mischievous hands of men and from all corruption, distortion or being lost or concealed. Allah has said:
“Indeed, we have sent down the Quran, and surely We will guard it (from corruption). (Quran, 15:9)”
